MOLECULAR BIOLOGY TRAINING

Introduction:

This training provides professional expertise in molecular diagnosis for acquired, inherited, and infectious diseases.  It prepares professionals to competently perform and interpret molecular-based laboratory tests. The training also explains the appropriate use and meaning of molecular-based tests as well as establishing and validating new molecular methods in a clinical laboratory. The curriculum is designed to open doors to a variety of careers including positions in clinical laboratories, research laboratories, corporate settings and academic institutions.

Objectives of the course are to enable participants to:

 

  • To provide theoretical knowledge in central molecular biology techniques
  • To provide hands-on experience by using our state of the art machines at the molecular applications Laboratory.
  • Learn analysis and interpretation of results and how to relate them to the experimental problems.

Training Methods: Training will be in form of lectures, short exercises and lab practicals in our Molecular Biology laboratory. A qualifying test will be administered at the end of the training with an award of a certificate of performance or attendance.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Total Course Fees

Charges KSH 40,000.00 (USD 445) per person.

10 O’clock tea and Lunch will be provided.

Trainees are expected to make own arrangements for accommodation and transport to and from the venue.

 

Duration: 5 days
