KAVI-Institute of Clinical Research is proud to highlight the participation of our researcher, Joel Musando, at the IDA Symposia, held in Stellenbosch, South Africa (26–30 January 2026). The symposium focused on infectious diseases in Africa and capacity building in grant writing, bringing together MSc and PhD trainees alongside leading scientists from across the continent.

Mr. Musando was selected as one of 16 participants representing different African regions, representing Eastern Africa. He presented his research titled “Evaluation of the presence and impact of anti-cytokine autoantibodies in Kenyan patients with selected viral infections” through both oral and poster presentations. His poster session attracted significant engagement and constructive feedback, strengthening the clarity and impact of the research communication.

The symposium featured distinguished scientific leaders, including Thumbi Ndung'u, Jesse Gitaka, and Clive Gray.

Participation in this forum reflects KAVI-ICR’s commitment to supporting high-quality research, scientific leadership, and international collaboration in advancing clinical and translational research in Africa.
