Last week on Thursday, 13th November, KAVI–Institute of Clinical Research was honoured to host Dr Kundai Chinyenze, IAVI’s Strategic Partnership & Regional Director, together with Polet Juma (Operations Director & Kenya Country Lead) and the IAVI Kenya team.

The visit provided an excellent opportunity to deepen our long-standing collaboration and align on shared research priorities. Our discussions centred on strengthening and expanding collaborative work; pursuing joint grants and capacity-building opportunities, improving operational efficiencies across both institutions, and exploring new research avenues beyond HIV, including emerging infectious diseases and regional health priorities.

We appreciate the continued partnership with IAVI, a key scientific ally in advancing impactful research in Kenya and across the region. KAVI–ICR remains committed to collaborative, innovative science that improves health outcomes for our communities.
