Speaker: Dr. Dasvit Shetty
Join us for a guest seminar by Dr. Dasvit Shetty, a Postdoctoral Researcher at Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School discussing Harnessing Cervix-Chip Models to Tackle Health Inequity.
Dr. Dasvit Shetty is a bioengineer, microbiologist and biochemist by training. Her research involves developing personalized cervix organ chips to study bacterial vaginosis. She received her PhD from the National University of Singapore, where she worked under the supervision of Dr. Linda Kenney and Dr. Yan Jie at the Mechanobiology Institute. Towards the end of her PhD, she worked as a visiting Scientist and Research Associate at the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston (UTMB Galveston). She completed her Master’s in Biotechnology at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) and her Bachelor’s in Biotechnology at the University of Mumbai. She has 5 peer-reviewed publications and has presented her work in various seminars and conferences.
