Building Africa’s Clinical Trials Workforce: KAVI-ICR Hosts Regional Clinical Trial Monitoring Course in Nairobi

This week, KAVI–Institute of Clinical Research (KAVI-ICR), University of Nairobi, in partnership with ClinWin Research Services, is hosting a high-impact Clinical Trial Monitoring Course in Nairobi, bringing together early-career and experienced professionals from across the region. The course is part of a long-standing collaboration between KAVI-ICR and ClinWin focused on strengthening Africa’s clinical research ecosystem through practical, skills-based training and mentorship. 

KAVI-ICR Advances Biosafety Through ISO 35001 Implementation Initiative

KAVI-Institute of Clinical Research (KAVI-ICR) continues to demonstrate leadership in laboratory biosafety and biosecurity through its participation in the CEPI ISO 35001 Implementation Project. Representatives from KAVI-ICR, including its founder, Professor Omu Anzala, and Laboratory Technologist Dennis Chalo, attended a high-level coordination meeting at the National Institute for Communicable Diseases in Johannesburg from March 30 to April 1, 2026.
