World AIDS Day event on 1st December 2014
The 2014 theme for World AIDS Day is
“Focus, Partner, Achieve: An AIDS-free Generation.”
The annual national World AIDS Day event was held in Machakos County this
year. However, Nairobi County held an event at Dandora Primary School which
KAVI-ICR participated in.
KAVI-ICR participated by supporting Social Mobilizers for the event. During the
KAVI-ICR Team members attend year 2014 team building
activity from 20th-22nd Nov 2014
This took place in Coast Province, Mombasa County at the Travellers Beach
This event was well attended by a majority staff with a few apologies.

I wish to welcome all of you to the Molecular Biology Amplification workshop that started on Tuesday 24, 2014 and will run until Thursday 26, 2014. This workshop being the first of its kind in Kenya and in the region gives me a great honour to be the convener as the Vice-Chancellor - UoN.
World AIDS Vaccine Day celebrations at Kangemi.
University of Nairobi KAVI-ICR joined the world in marking World AIDS Vaccine Day on 18th May, 2016 in Nairobi’s Kangemi area.
World AIDS Vaccine Day, also known as HIV Vaccine Awareness Day, is observed annually on May 18.
The KAVI-INSTITUTE of Clinical Research on 27th April, 2016 held a Mini-Symposium at the KAVI-ICR premises located at the College of Health Sciences – UoN to discuss on advances in Stem Cell Research, breakthroughs in translation Stem Cell Therapy and Regenerative Medicine.
The Symposium was held in conjuction with the following collaborative partners:
Bioethics Training conducted by KAVI-ICR for Masinde Muliro
and County Government hospital (PGH)
KAVI – Institute of Clinical Research (KAVI – ICR) undertook an exercise to
sensitize and enhance the ability of various bioethics committees in reviewing
research and ethics projects for represented Universities.
GCP and GCLP held on 6th to 10th May 2013 in (The AIDS Support
Organization)TASO, Tororo for TASO Uganda
The just concluded Good Clinical Practice and Good Clinical and Laboratory
Practice held in TASO, Tororo for TASO Uganda from all the centres throughout
The training was supported by Global Health Research Initiative (GHRI).
